Observing, volunteering, and shadowing is a great way to learn about pediatric occupational therapy, the tools, techniques, and the private clinic setting.
Clinical observation (also known as shadowing) is not the same thing as volunteering at the clinic and other hands-on experience. Clinical observation is an observation of an occupational therapist in a clinical setting.
Volunteering is providing hands-on help in the private clinic setting with the guidance and supervision of an occupational therapist.
