Social Superheroes

Teamwork and Social Problem Solving for School-Age Children

Registration for Summer 2026 is now open

Our Social Superheroes group is specifically designed for school-age children who are ready to dive deeper into the world of peer collaboration. Led by our licensed therapy team, this program uses the power of group play to help children navigate more complex social landscapes. We provide a respectful, structured environment where your child can practice solving problems as a team, understanding different perspectives, and building lasting friendships while being exactly who they are.

Core Social Powers

Cooperative Teamwork

Children work together to achieve common goals through group projects and team-based games, learning the value of every “hero” in the group.

Social Problem Solving

We support children as they navigate real-time social challenges, helping them brainstorm and test out creative solutions with their peers.

Perspective Taking

Through guided interactions, children explore how their teammates might see or feel about a situation, fostering deeper empathy and mutual respect.

Emotional Navigation

We help children recognize their internal states during group play and provide practical tools to stay regulated when social situations become complex.

Conflict Resolution

When disagreements happen, our therapists help children communicate their needs clearly and listen to others to find a way forward together.

Confident Self-Advocacy

Children learn to identify their boundaries and express their personal preferences with confidence, ensuring they feel safe and heard in any group.

About Social Superheroes

Social Superheroes focuses on the nuances of school-age social dynamics within our unique sensory gym environment. Rather than teaching rigid social “rules,” we emphasize authentic connection and the development of natural social-emotional skills. Our therapists facilitate activities that encourage children to think flexibly, support one another, and celebrate their individual strengths. Whether it is navigating a complex obstacle course together or collaborating on a creative build, every session is designed to build the confidence needed for success in school and community life.
