Fieldwork,
Volunteering, and Shadowing

Observing, volunteering, and shadowing is a great way to learn about pediatric occupational therapy, speech therapy, feeding therapy, the tools, techniques, and the private clinic setting.

Clinical observation (also known as shadowing) is not the same thing as volunteering at the clinic and other hands-on experience. Clinical observation is an observation of an therapist in a clinical setting. At this time, we do not offer clinical observation hours.

Volunteering is providing hands-on help in the private clinic setting with the guidance and supervision of an occupational therapist or speech therapist.

We are currently looking for additional volunteers. Our volunteers help with individual therapy sessions and our group programs. If you would like to volunteer, please complete the below volunteering form. We will contact you after reviewing your submission.

Please note, we require at least 100 hours of volunteering before we consider writing letters of recommendation or proof of hours.
