Social Explorers is a therapeutic group designed for school-age children who are ready to deepen their social connections and navigate more complex peer dynamics. In our supportive sensory gym environment, children engage in collaborative play that encourages them to explore social interactions naturally. Led by our licensed occupational therapy team, this program focuses on helping children feel confident and capable as they learn to work together, advocate for their needs, and build meaningful friendships.

Perspective Taking

Children practice noticing social cues and understanding how their peers might think or feel during shared activities.

Team Collaboration

We focus on working together toward a common goal, helping children value their own contributions and the ideas of their teammates.

Social Problem Solving

When social “hiccups” occur, our therapists guide children through finding respectful and creative solutions that work for everyone.

Self-Regulation

Children learn to identify their internal states during group play and use sensory tools to stay regulated and engaged with the group.

Effective Communication

We support children in expressing their ideas clearly and listening to their peers to foster balanced and respectful interactions.

Building Belonging

The group provides a safe space for children to be themselves, fostering a sense of community and genuine connection with their peers.

About Social Explorers

At Tumble N’ Dots, we believe that social development is about more than just following rules. It is about the authentic joy of connecting with others. Social Explorers uses a child-led, play-based approach to help children navigate the nuances of social-emotional engagement. Our therapists facilitate activities that require cooperation and flexible thinking, such as navigating complex obstacle courses or working on group builds. By focusing on each child’s unique strengths, we help them build the resilience and confidence they need to thrive in school and community settings.

Enrollment is limited, staff includes board-certified occupational therapists and experienced volunteers.
Spring 2026 Dates: March 23rd, 2026 - June 1st, 2026 (sold out)
Summer 2026 Dates: June 15th, 2026 - August 17th, 2026

5-11 Year Olds Group: Mondays 3:30pm-4:30pm

Things to Know:

  • You must commit to the full program.
  • There are no refunds for missed sessions for sickness, vacation, etc.
  • No meeting during the week of March 30th – April 3rd, 2026

New Clients:
Upon registration, you will be invited for a 30 minute tour and therapist screening to assess your child’s individual needs and your goals before starting the program.

Ratios:
We maintain a maximum ratio of two children per therapist, though our sessions often allow for nearly one on one support.

Cancellations:
If you cancel 7 or more days before the group start date, you will receive a 90% refund.

Cancellations occurring less than 7 days before group start date will not be refunded.

Insurance Information:
We do not bill insurance companies directly for services provided. You will be provided with a superbill which you are encouraged to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. 

Tumble N’ Dots Pediatric Therapy is a licensed outpatient therapy clinic. Our programs are designed and delivered by licensed therapists.

All services provided are therapeutic in nature, guided by individualized treatment plans, and documented according to professional healthcare standards.

Please note: We need at least 3 kids enrolled to run the class. If we don’t meet that minimum, we’ll reach out to you and make sure you get a full refund.
