Creative Hands Art Studio
Fine-Motor Learning, Mindfulness & Creative Exploration
Now enrolling for Fall 2026
Creative Hands Art Studio combines process-based art, tactile exploration, and fine-motor learning. Students experiment with a wide range of tools and materials while developing creativity, hand skills, visual-spatial abilities, planning, persistence, and self-expression.
What Your Child Will Practice
Fine-Motor & Hand Skills
Using scissors, pencils, brushes, and glue while developing hand strength, dexterity, precision, and coordination.
Creative Decision-Making
Students make creative choices, develop original ideas, and use art as a form of communication and self-expression.
Tactile Exploration
Exploring texture, shape, color, line, and design, and describing sensory qualities like rough, smooth, and soft.
Project Planning
Planning and completing multi-step projects, organizing materials, and maintaining a workspace.
Mindful Reflection
Noticing emotions, preferences, and responses to materials, and reflecting mindfully on the creative process.
Persistence & Flexibility
Adapting when a project doesn’t go as planned and practicing persistence and flexible thinking.
About Creative Hands Art Studio
In Creative Hands Art Studio, the making matters more than the finished product. Projects may include drawing, painting, collage, clay, printmaking, weaving, sculpture, mixed-media, and seasonal crafts, always with room to explore.
The emphasis is on exploration, creative decision-making, and the learning process rather than identical results. Students are supported in making choices, communicating boundaries, and approaching unfamiliar materials at their own pace.
Educational focus: Visual arts, fine-motor learning, tactile exploration, mindfulness, creative expression, visual-spatial skills, planning, organization, persistence, self-awareness, and flexible thinking.

Educational Enrichment Program Notice
Tumble ’N Dots Educational Enrichment Programs are supplemental group learning programs, separate from our clinical occupational therapy services. They do not include diagnosis, determination of medical necessity, individualized occupational therapy evaluation or plans of care, clinical treatment goals, healthcare progress notes, insurance billing, or superbills.
Within group instruction, instructors may use visual supports, modeling, activity modifications, and other strategies to improve access to the curriculum. These are educational supports within the group program, not individualized occupational therapy treatment. If a student may benefit from clinical occupational therapy, those services are offered separately and require a separate clinical intake.
