This policy explains what information Tumble N’ Dots, Inc. (“Tumble N’ Dots,” “we,” “us”) collects through tumblendots.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the forms, chat, and messages that start here. Information about your child’s care is also protected by the consent forms you sign at intake and by California’s Confidentiality of Medical Information Act.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we and the services we use collect basic technical information: your browser and device type, pages visited, how you arrived at the site (such as an ad or a search), and general location based on your IP address. This is collected through cookies and similar tools, including:

  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used
  • Google Ads conversion tracking, to measure whether our ads lead to inquiries
  • Jetpack (by Automattic), for site statistics and security
  • Embedded content such as YouTube videos and Google Maps, which may set their own cookies

These third parties may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites. You can limit this by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser, using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and adjusting your Google ad settings. Our site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We share it only:

  • With service providers that run parts of our business for us, such as our client management and scheduling system, website hosting, email, payment processing, accounting, and our communication platform. They may use it only to provide their services to us.
  • With others you ask us to share with, such as your child’s school, doctor, or another provider, based on your written consent
  • When required by law, such as a court order, or to protect the safety of a child or others
  • With a successor organization if our practice is sold or merged, under the same protections

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about scheduling, appointments, and programs. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. We do not share mobile numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties for their marketing purposes. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.

Your child’s information

This website is meant for parents, caregivers, professionals, and job and volunteer applicants. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Information about a child comes from the child’s parent or guardian. Medical and developmental information you share with us is kept confidential as required by California law.

How we protect information

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, multi-factor sign-in for staff systems, limited access based on job role, and encrypted, protected backups. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

How long we keep information

We keep information as long as we need it to provide services, keep required clinical and business records, and meet legal, tax, and insurance obligations. When it’s no longer needed, we delete it or make it unidentifiable.

Your choices and requests

You can ask to see, correct, or update the information we hold about you or your child, or ask us to stop sending you messages. Contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and some records must be kept by law.

California privacy rights

Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents may ask whether we share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing. We do not. You may still send us a request using the contact details below.
